for the price it's a good pair of shoes; it's not true to size - the 8.5 is a little big but I couldn't go to an 8. The leather is a little harder than what I am used to wearing but hoping that it would soften in time.

I was lookong for a nice loafer that I could dress up or wear casually and found the perfect shoe. They did not disappoint me. When I first got them, they were a little snug in the width but after a couple of times on they stretched out a bit and are now perfect. I think a wide would have been too big. I definitely recommend this shoe.

I love these shoes. They are more comfortable for walking the streets of NY than sneakers. I started with Black, then purchased Brown, then Navy, then my second pair of black. Now I am buying my 3rd pair of black -- and thinking about the patent leather ones too. The leather doesn't wear out -- but you know that old commercial -- "I'd walk a mile for a camel" -- well that's what happens to the sole -- and I guess I could get them resoled -- but I really get my money's worth out of these shoes and so I just buy a new pair -- as long as I can find them.

I have multiple pairs of Franco Sarto. I purchased my first few pairs in store, I knew from then on I could count on the fit would be true to size and no break in and started ordering them online. This my second pair of this exact same loafer. I wore my first pair out - and it took me several years to do so! Comfort, quality and perfect fit every time - that's Franco Sarto!
