Warm and comfortable but size up one size

I love these slippers. They are very warm and comfortable and they fit more like a shoe rather than a slipper as you have to work your heel in the back, they don't just slide on like a traditional slipper. I wish I had read the reviews first as most say to make sure you size up one size - that is very true. I'm a true size 7. I ordered the 7 in the chestnut with the light natural wool lining and had to return them as they were too tight, difficult to get on and uncomfortable. Since the tan was on back order, I got the black with the black wool lining in an 8, and although I LOVE them and never take them off while at home this winter, the black lining stains my feet black and I need to scrub, I mean really scrub, that black dye off my feet in the shower every single day. My daughter has the chestnut that we sized up for her and they fit her perfectly and her feet don't get stained since the inside is a natural color, not dyed!

I'm a true size 7 and typically wear a size 6 in UGG boots, but based on reviews, ordered this style in both a size 6 and 7 to compare. There's a notable difference between them. The size 6 measures 10" across the sole and the 7 measures just over 10.75." Even with socks, the 7 was way too big and slipped off my foot. Some reviews say this style runs small, so perhaps this year's batch is different. Hopefully, this helps others who can't decide which size to buy!
I love my Ugg slippers. I actually wear them outside of the house instead of inside. My daughter turned me on to them a long time ago. She has the pair with the pompoms but as a 59-year-old, I think I need to stick to the basic design. Very comfortable to wear with casual wear. Just slip in them and off you go.
