I have wide feet. It's a constant struggle to find shoes that are both comfortable and fashionable.
I purchased a pair of these in an 8 W without knowing they came in a double width. The 8 W is fine, but slightly long and not quite as wide as I like. I thought I'd try the 7 1/2 WW to see if the fit is a bit better. To my surprise, they are EXACTLY the same as the 8 W. Comparing the soles showed virtually no difference in width and maybe a 1/16" in length.
I like these sneakers. The style is classic, versatile, and comfortable. However, I give only two stars for deceptive sizing.
I bought these for my wife because she kept buying off brand knockoffs at Target and the like. She used to wear real Keds so I found these at Nordstrom Fashion Valley. The correct size was sent in the mail and she loves them! She wears them without laces and makes them even cooler. I just happened to look at them yesterday and was delighted to see that Keds has been around since 1916. Now, she wants a pair of white ones as well.
These are more comfortable than I expected and have some arch support. I have wide feet and usually wear 9W, so ordered 9WW. They fit comfortably except the seam rubs a bit along the widest part of my foot. The 9 felt longer than other brands, but the 8.5WW was VERY narrow in comparison, which may have been a fluke on that pair, but it was extremely uncomfortable. So the width seems inconsistent across different pairs. I wish the white stitching along the front of the shoe didn't rub across the joint of my big toe, but I think I can live with it.
