After the recommended Clarins foaming cleanser dried my face out, I got this one. It is MUCH better for sensitive or dry skin in my opinion. I don`t know if it is good for removing makeup as I don`t use makeup, but just to clean and soften my skin, it works wonders. You only need a bit so it lasts a long time. I massage it over my damp face and I rise it off with water, so I get a better `clean` feeling. You could be doing this all the time and your skin still would feel lovely, moisturized, never dry. It is actually so good that most of the time I don`t even use a night cream after, just this. Also calms skin and take away any redness instantly. Clarins is my go to brand and this product along with the Gentle Night Cream is my all time favorite!!! :-)))
It doesn't feel like it cleans, but it works for me.

Good gentle cleanser

Prosgentle, gentle creamy
This is a much gentler cleanser for the evening than the Cottonseed cleanser. I do not find that it takes make up as well, but it does not have the same extreme stripped down clean feeling either. If you have sensitive skin or dry skin, this cleanser is great.

I went through a few regimens before I finally found that Clarins is the best for my skin. This cleanser is mild, moisturizing and cleansing, and introduces your skin so nicely to whatever moisturizer follows. My favorite is the hydratante, but I recently added the serum as well, and it's amazing. Enjoy!
