I love everything Clarins! I've been using Clarins products for years. Every once in a while I stray and try something else, but I always come back. The products have a lovely scent that makes me want to use them, and they do what they say they'll do. This cleanser -- simple, fresh, and gentle -- is a stock item for me.

Poor product for cleaning your face

I expected for this product to leave my face clean of any residue; instead, it doesn't do much.
I bought this on a whim and am sure glad I did! I have never used a lotion cleanser before but it works wonderfully. I use it in the evenings the get all of the makeup off and it leaves my skin soft and glowing. I use a toning lotion after and it feels just as clean as it would with a foaming cleanser. Wonderful addition to my skin care routine.

Prosstrong smelling, oily
While I am usually a fan of Clairin's products, I was very disappointed with the quality of this cleansing milk. From the first second you put this cleanser on your face, there is an incredibly strong smell that is just like cheap perfume. Secondly it is one of the oiliest cleansers I have ever used, leaving a sticky residue that provides the basis for breakouts. I used this 2 days in a row, but could not stand the smell and noticed some red bumps emerging on the sides of my face. This product is not at all milky, it is feels like pure oil and suffice it to say I will not be purchasing it again.
Instead of using this, use their gentle exfoliating cleanser followed by warm milk as an astringent and you will be amazed how much it tightens your pores and brightens your skin. It worked for Cleopatra and it works for me.
