Upon arrival, as I slipped the shoes on for the first time, the tongue immediately came unstitched. Stitching unraveled down the side of the inside of the shoe in a pathetic display of a heritage brand becoming a budget brand before my very eyes. I will be looking at other brands in the future.
Additionally, the shoe's leather appears much more manufactured and over-finished in person than in the photo. While it smells like leather, it looks quite waxy and slathered with finish in an unattractive way.
