The colors looked neutral and flattering. (on-line). I am sixty-five with the reddish eyelids, even with a primer. The colors were not vibrant. For me. It might look flattering on you because I am no beauty expert. I had to keep putting more on, and blending it in, but could not see color. It looked pretty and I never tried laura mercia and thought I'd try it. Nordstrom's return policy is fantastic. They pay for return shipping.
Laura Mercier matte shadows are richly pigmented with little to no fall out and provide excellent wear when used with an eye shadow base . Plum Smoke ( greyish lavender) is the perfect neutral (ish) accent for my hazel green eyes. When I want to emphasize the lavender color with a smokey eye at night I pair it with black plum at the outer corners of the eye and half way into the crease For a more neutral eye I'll use espresso bean at the outer corner and half way into the crease for a softer look Truffle is another good one with which to pair plum smoke. This color is a a really versatile staple for me and I love the fact that it's matte.
I love the color- it goes on with very little pigment, so you have to apply and apply to get the desired pigment you want... but it also gives you that ability to build coverage or not so that you can have a totally natural look when you want!
