I have combination skin, except for the winter months. My skin becomes much dryer. This moisturizer isn't heavy at all yet it's extremely effective, a little goes a long way. Works well all year long. And I like the fact that it doesn't contain sun screen. That may sound insane but sun screen tends to leave me with small.bumps on my face.

I used this moisturizer until the jar was empty only because I thought it would really work. It made my skin feel super sticky when I applied it for at least an hour. I didn’t see any results and I dreaded using it every time just because the way it felt. Had I known it wasn’t going to make a difference I would’ve trashed it.

I really do like Philosophy Hope In A Jar Face Moisturizer For All Skin Types. When my skin was breaking out constantly, it was the only moisturizer that didn’t make it worse. My skin was pretty oily then too, and it didn’t make my face look shinier or feel suffocated. That was years ago, and my skin actually looks good now. It’s went from oily and covered in acne to clear but combination leaning dry. Using the wrong moisturizer can still cause breakouts unbelievably fast, but my skin needs a whole lot more moisture now. This one isn’t enough for me when it’s cold and windy, but I still use it often when it’s hot outside. I’ve read reviews complaining about the way it smells. I don’t think that it smells bad. It isn’t perfumed. I think that it just smells of natural ingredients. Plus, it soaks in very quickly and all smell is gone once that happens. It doesn’t mess with how makeup applies. It doesn’t make my face look oily. It doesn’t clog my pores. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this moisturizer to anyone.
