[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this product since my mother-in-law introduced me to philosophy more than ten years ago. Hope in a Jar was the first item in the skincare line that I tried, and it was instant love. At the time, I didn't think I needed a moisturizer. My skin was still acne prone. But it turned out to be exactly what I needed. The harsh acne treatments that I was using dried out my skin, causing it to then overproduce oil, which created more acne--a vicious circle. Then I started cleaning my face nightly with Purity Made Simple (another philosophy necessity!), and applying Hope in a Jar afterward, my skin began to change for the better.
