it is good, but not for everyone

there are a lot of good things about this moisturizer, it glides on your skin, it absorbs immediately, it makes your skin feel silky smooth, it doesn't feel heavy and isn't greasy or oily.
however for my aging dry skin it just isn't hydrating enough, even with a serum under it. about an hour after putting it on my skin starts to feel parched, it just isn't that drink of water my skin needs and gets from the original hope in a jar. it also has more of a matte finish and i prefer that "glow" i get from the original.
different skin types need different products so i would recommend trying it because, obviously, from the other reviews it works for others. i bought this before the newer renewed hope for dry skin was released, so i'll be trying that because this is a nice product.

I'm sure this would be great for a lot of people, but if you have sensitive skin, this is probably not a good product for you. I have used Hope in a Jar for years and love it, but this made my skin red and burning. I also do not like scented skin products in general and this scent was particularly offensive. Even if the product was something I wanted to use I couldn't tolerate the odor.

Perfect for normal skin

The consistency and the absorption of this product is amazing, but, sadly, it is not for dry/very dry skin like mine. It would have been perfect for me 20 years ago when my skin was not so dry. I am, however, glad I gave it a try

Not for sensitive skin

I was so disappointed. I really wanted to love renewed hope in a jar. In the store, it did not have a scent, but the one I ordered from philosophy had a strong perfume scent. I have very sensitive skin, so it irritated my face terribly.
