Don't love it or hate it -- it's average

I bought HIAJ based on all of the reviews I heard -- starting with Oprah years ago. I have to say that I'm a big fan of Philosophy, but not necessarily this product. I bought my first jar a little less than a year ago and I'm only about halfway through it because I've moved on to other products that I like better. It is white, as it appears in the picture. And has little to no scent -- the faint hint of scent that it does have is kind of close to a bar of Ivory soap. I find that it just sits on my skin and isn't easily absorbed. It's difficult for me to apply it evenly as it just kind of moves along the top of my skin as I try to rub it in. I don't think I'll purchase HIAJ again, but I'm still a big Philosophy fan!

Just have been using this for two weeks, but I don't see any real significant difference between this and Hope in a Jar, other than cost. Hopefully I will see the benefits of the new formula.

I got this in a gift package with a couple other things and I will say I like it. It moisturizes my skin and doesn't seem to cause me to break out or make my skin to get super oily, but in the first second that I put it on my face and rub it in it smells good (herbal smell) though once it settles in and dries it smells like hair dye. It reminds me of hair dye that contains ammonia and gives me a headache. My skin is pretty sensitive and I was worried that my skin would start burning and get irritated which isn't something you want to think about when using a face product. I'm really disappointed in the "after smell" though. I do love philosophy, but this product just didn't meet my expectations entirely.

My skin gets extremely dry in the winter, but this last month has been particularly unbearable. My go-to for my dry skin was not working this time and I was dealing with flaky itchy skin all day and night. My boyfriend bought me this stuff for the holidays (gave it to me early because I was so miserable) and I could not be happier!! Seriously I put it on after I washed my face before bed and woke up to smooth hydrated skin. I highly recommend you give this product a try!!!
