Hope in a Jar
PostedJuly 5, 2014
I ordered this product prior to reading the reviews. I was very concerned about those who said "it smells like a wet dog" and they couldn't stand for it to be on their faces. When my 4 oz. jar arrived, I immediately opened it to smell. I didn't find it offensive and waited a week to use it while finishing up my supply of Perricone Face Finishing moisturizer. Today I used it for the first time and think I will really like this product. I use a small amount applied with a foam wedge and didn't experience any issues with burning nor with any smell. In fact, I couldn't even smell it unless I stuck my nose in the jar!!! I will purchase again~~~~

Horrible burning pain!
PostedJune 4, 2014
I was out shopping with my daughter, when I said how much my sunburn hurt. She told me that I needed to get your product ( Hope in a Jar ). I put some on my face right away, the problem is that it did not help with the pain it made it much worse! Right away I had sharp, burning pain all over my face. We had to find a restroom right away, I did not get it all off though, I have blisters 2 blisters on my forehead, 2 on my nose and 1 on my chin. It has been a little over a week and I still have blisters on my face.

Great Moisturizer, Horrible Fragrance
PostedMay 1, 2014
First I will say that I have combination oily skin that tends to be dry at times. I have been using the purity face wash for over a year now and I do love the face wash. When they came out with the duo wash/lotion combination I thought I would give it a go because I have been wanting to try the hope in a jar for quite some time now. I was super excited to try it that the moment it arrived I opened the jar and it had a fragrance that took me off guard. It was very strong like a body ointment gone wrong. However I did put it on to see if the smell would go away after applying it. Sadly to say it did not, and after about 10 minutes of it on I started to get a horrible headache from the smell and had to wash it off. It had such a wonderful feeling on the face. Made my skin feel very smooth and soft; however, I could not stand the smell of the product.

Wow, that price

This stuff is great but it's so expensive! Not sure if it's worth the price. Perhaps if you have severely dry skin, but the average person is probably fine with a cheaper moisturizer.
