Terrific Moisturizer

I began using Philosophy products a week ago. I tested Purity and the Hope in a Jar but only using these two products for a week. My review is based on the performance of the product.
The scent of this product is nothing to be desired. I will tell you that a LITTLE of this product goes a long way. I have the 0.4 oz tube and I am still using it. The skin absorbs it well without leaving you feeling greasy or oily. If you use too much, it will take much longer to rub in and you may feel a little greasy. Dab here, dab there. That's the best way to apply this. It will moisturize your face very well. On drier parts of my face like my nose, I do apply an extra dab. I really hate that it costs so much but it's worth it.

Hope In A Jar Pills

I received Hope In a Jar and Hope in a Jar Night as a gift with purchase during the holidays. Hope in a Jar pills. The Hope In a Jar Night does not. I think it moisturizes okay; but, for the price, this formulation should not pill. In the past, about 9 or 10 years ago, when I tried Hope In a Jar, for the first time (I had not used it since then) the formula has changed. It did not pill then but the formulation appeared to break down between liquid and solid when I would warm the product in my hands.

A friend of mine gave me a sample of hope in a jar and after using it I am glad I didn't actually purchase this. It is the worst smelling facial product I have ever used. I couldn't even handle having it on my face half of the day, I had to wash it off! I definitely wouldn't purchase for the price.

I recently purchased this product and I love it! I have naturally oily skin in the t-zone of my face. and dry, tight skin around my mouth and in front of my ears. This product didn't make my t-zone shiny, but it didn't really help my drier, flaky skin (thats why I gave it the 4 stars) but I think if you have drier skin in certain areas like me, you should purchase the hope in a jar for dry skin. This product is worth the money and doesn't leave a film on my skin like many other products. I also have acne problems, and so far this lotion hasn't caused any problems with it.
