I love hope in a jar. completely satisfied with it and the kit with purity and the scrub! I have tried other products when i ran out. But no, i can not go without hope in a jar. My skin just does not feel good without it.

after doing my makeup, my face started to smell like what you would imagine rust would taste/smell like, or a rotting dish towel. i had been out of town and assumed that maybe my son had gotten water on my foundation brush, causing it to have a rotting smell. I thoroughly washed all my brushes immediately. the smell irritated me so much that I considered washing my face and redoing my makeup, but didn't have time and continued to smell the stench on my face throughout the day. that night after washing my face and applying hope in a jar, the smell started haunting me again! that's when I knew the stench had actually come from this moisturizer and not my foundation brush. when you smell it before applying, it doesn't have a bad scent but once it absorbs into your skin it's awful! luckily for me, it was only a sample and not a purchase. not sure how my skin would react to long term use. i get mild acne and was hoping this may help but unfortunately the smell is so terrible, i can't fathom the thought of testing it out any longer.

i HAVE ACNE PRONE SKIN, ITS REALLY FLAKY DRY AND STIFF AND USED TO BE HARD TO MANAGE. i STARTED USING THIS 4 MONTHS AGO ALONG WITH THE PURITY FACIAL WASH HERE, i GOT IT AS A GIFT. MY SKIN LOOKS INCREDIBLE. i DON'T WEAR MAKE UP ANYMORE. i WASH MY FACE IN THE MORNING AND AT NIGHT EVERYDAY THEN USE THIS LOTION AFTER EACH WASH. I LOVE HOW CLEAR MY FACE IS. tHE BOTTLE (PURITY) AND THE LOTION LAST ABOUT 2-3 MONTHS WITH USE TWICE A DAY. tHIS COMPANY HAS GAINED A HAPPY COSTUMER. i'M NOT SURE WHY PEOPLE DON'T LIKE THE SMELL, i DON'T THINK IT SMELLS LIKE ANYTHING. (ANOTHER REASON WHY i LIKE IT, i DON'T LIKE CHEMICAL WEIRD SMELLING STUFF OR BABY POWDER SMELLING LOTIONS.)

the first time i tried this product, i hated it! i hated the way it smelled so much that i threw out the entire jar after 2 uses. I kept hearing such great things about this moisturizer, but i knew i couldn't tolerate the smell. i received this as part of a skincare kit, so i decided to give it one more try. i don't know if the product changed or if i just got a bad batch the first time, but the second time was so much better. The smell was still there, but it wasn't as strong. also, the odor seemed to completely dissipate after a few minutes (the first time i tried it was still strong by morning!). this is a wonderful moisturizer. it makes my skin feel so soft and dryness is no longer an issue for me. a little bit goes a long way. apply a thin layer, and don't worry, you'll get used to the smell. Get over it, and the moisture payoff is well worth it!
