Good for now!

I could never find the right mousturizer but this one come's close! (which is unbelieveable because my skin is the worst!) I have a combinated fair skin with a really oily T-zone and chin. I also have light acne, acne scarring and my skin is really sensitive. I am allergic to something but i don't know what. (once i bought an expensive cream and i was allergic for it. My hole face was red and dry) So I was a little bit afraid that this would happen again if i bought this cream. (i bought it in a store in Amsterdam and they didn't had a small size) I tried it on first and i wasn't allergic (Yeeeh!) At the beginning my skin was really soft but later that day my face looked a little bit dry. after one week my acne is gone and my skin feels soft, but it has some flaky patches like it is dry but is does not feel dry at all. I will finish this jar and maybe look for another cream if my skin still looks flaky. But my skin has improved so much since this cream so thats definitly a plus!

horrible smell - hope in a jar original formula

I contacted the company via email to find out how to read expiration dates on philosophy products since my jar of 'hope in a jar' original formula moisturizer for all skin types smelled so bad. I thought it was rancid/expired until I read other reviews that say the same thing. i would love to use this product but i cant get past this smell. it's very strong and it continues to smell bad and strong all day long. after wearing it for a while i began to get a terrible headache. I had also tried some on my hands and arms since it did feel good on my skin. I had a hard time washing away the smell. it smells like a chemical almost like hair dye. i truly wanted to love this product but i don't. i wish i had bought the smallest size but i opted for the 2oz jar. such a waste since i would rather not even pass it along to a friend to try. I'm sure there are other wonderful products from this company but this is not one of them in my opinion.

Excellent moisturizer

this was a gift from my mom who had got it from a lady a work with a bunch of other products from philosophy, i have very sensitive skin and its hard for me to find products that i can use on my face so i decided to try it and see,it doesnt bother my face its light and doesnt make my face feel oily another problem i have sometimes it is something i use daily after i wash my face its a great product.

I love this moisturizer, nothing else I have tried compares. I go back and forth between Hope in a jar and hope in a bottle to keep my skin balanced and clear. One comment I have noticed in the reviews is the smell. I have to admit that I love the way it smells, i think it's smells clean and refreshing! I am sure it is a personal preference, but i think the smell is great!
