works great even for dry skin

purchased the travel size a week ago to try and so far very satisfied. had previously been using clinique but the dry patches on my face returned. i had bought the foaming cleanser and decided to try the hope in a jar. this is not marketed for dry skin but works very well. just wanted to mention that in case someone decides to purchase a kit that has the original formula. will definitely buy the bigger one next time.

good, but I needed a more moisturizing version

I received this product with a skin care "starter kit". I was very excited to try it due to all of the positive reviews I've read. I really enjoyed the consistency of the product. It was soft and pillowy and soaked right into my skin without feeling heavy or greasy. I thought I had found my new moisturizer, but after a few days, my face started feeling a little dry and looking a little tired. I'm now trying the hope in a jar for dry skin and loving the results. I am giving this product 4 stars because I passed my original jar on to my sister who has more combination skin and she is loving it!

Terrible Allergic Reaction!

I applied Hope in a jar before going to bed and the next morning I woke up with an allergic reaction with an itchy, red rash all over my face and hands! It has been several days and the rash persists and is causing me to have very dry skin and a lot of discomfort. I don't usually have sensitive reactions to products and can't even think of another product that has caused such a reaction with me ever. I would definitely avoid this product at all costs! Not to mention, it also smells terrible!

got as a free gift with purchase

got this for free to try and I'm not 100% sold yet. I love how it feels. I have weird skin, sometimes it's dry, sometimes it's oily, it's always sensitive, but most products for that bother me. This moisturizer isn't overly greasy, but it does leave me looking slightly oily. I worry about how I'll be in summer, but when I use stuff for oily skin my face gets horribly dry and painful feeling. I'll keep using for now and see what happens this summer. But right now feeling a little oily is better then not using anything at all.
