I have eczema ( A skin disorder which consist of dry itchy skin). I cannot put my eczema ointment on my face because it is too over hydrating and will give me pimples. Hope in a jar is the only product that works for my face. It is a must have product I need it in order to go about my day. I want to thank philosophy so much for this product because it has truly helped my skin. It even helps my makeup sit better on my face because my face is smooth as if I did not have a skin disorder. It is the perfect solution to simply a bad face day. Thank you!!! NOt to mention it last sooooo long! I had my first jar for a whole two years! and I used it everyday because of my disorder! I am now on my second jar. It seems expensive but trust me the money you will be saving on trying products that do not work will be triple the amount you spend.

I tried this product after getting a free sample from sephora out of their tester jar. it felt nice but i didn't really like the smell. i tried it a couple times and noticed that my skin looked great every time i used it. having spent tons of money on moisturizers from drug stores that never worked i decided to get over the smell and buy a jar. once i opened the jar the smell i didn't really like wasn't as intense. i actually like the smell =0) i've been using it morning and night and my skin is so far doing great!! I love this moisturizer and would recommend it to anyone!! thanks philosophy!!

i have combination skin, with an oily t zone but very dry jawline, which makes finding a moisturizer difficult. the past few weeks as it's gotten steadily colder, my skin has been so tight and dry all over, so I decided to finally try hope in a jar. it's the only moisturizer that i can put on in the morning, bike to campus in the cold harsh wind, and still have my face feel moisturized and supple when i arrive. i was worried about the smell from other reviews, but i love it - it's very light, but an earthy lavender scent. my soaps are lavender so i enjoy the scent. overall a wonderful product!

i recently tried purity and hiaj. i love purity and will continue to use it but i couldn't get past the smell of hiaj! the texture i could handle but not the smell. i thought that people were exaggerating when i read reviews saying hiaj smelled like wet dog but i have to apologize for thinking that! i had to wash my face immediately after using and put on another moisturizer to try and cover the scent. my hands still smelled like wet dog for a while that night even after washing with scented soap. i gave the product 3 stars because the texture wasn't bad and my face did feel soft and smooth before i had to wash it off. i am sure that for some this is a great moisturizer but for those that have a sensitive nose you may want to try something else from philosophy's line. I ordered hiaj oil-free and hiab so maybe those will work better for me. Sorry, i hate write a bad review :(
