decent moisturizer, horrific smell

I use many products in the Philosophy line and have been a faithful fan for many years. Bath products are especially amazing. I ordered a kit that included the large size of Hope in a jar. ugh! it moisturizes well enough, but the smell is so off-putting. it smells highly of chemicals, or perhaps plastic. not good. some have suggested that it is a lavender smell. this doesn't smell like any lavender i've ever come in contact with. using it on my face is simply not an option. i'm trying to finish the jar by using it on my legs, but on the occasion the smell reaches my nose, i start sneezing and my eyes water. instant headache to follow. i won't be purchasing this again. i'm amazed that nobody brought this to light during the testing or marketing phase. In reading the online reviews, this sentiment is mirrored by many others. also, the smell has intense staying power. my perfume doesn't linger this long. i used hope in a jar yesterday morning on my legs and could still smell it last night before i showered. my headache subsided shortly thereafter. during the day, while out shopping. my friend asked if i smelled melting plastic. oops! if something can't be done about the smell, then i would recommend not producing this product. don't ruin an otherwise good reputation by selling a product that the consumer can't use. thank you.

I was given "hope in a jar" mositurizer as a gift and i absolutely fell in love with it! I have pretty oily skin so anything too heavy can sometimes make me look shiny. This product made my skin feel even, smooth, and radiant. It felt very light and not at all suffocating or goopy. I use this product before I put on my make up and after I wash my face before i go to sleep. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a new and improved daily mositurizer!

I love this product! I can't live without this product! Hope in a jar lives up to all of the promises that you have heard from each of your philosophy friends! its texture is light and airy, and is like a drink of hydration when you apply it to your skin. its my must have!

AFTER USING MANY PRODUCTS FOR MY DRY SKIN, THIS MOISTURIZER IS BY FAR THE BEST AND ITS FOR ALL SKIN TYPES. IVE BEEN USING THIS PRODUCT FOR 6 WEEKS NOW AND EVEN MY FRIENDS NOTICED A DIFFERENCE. I AM VERY HAPPY TO HAVE FOUND PHILOSOPHY!!
