So impressed...

I started using hope in a jar (normal to oily) about a month ago. within a week i noticed my face was softer and brighter. just putting it on feels decadent due to the whipped lotion. the smell does not bother me; from reading the ingrediants and having used aveda and other products with natural herbs and oils i knew it was just a natural smell from the ingrediants. i am hooked--i just need to make sure i save more money as it is certainly the most i have ever spent for moisturizer! LOL

i HAVE USED HOPE IN A JAR FOR SEVERAL YEARS. mY SKIN TENDS TO BE DRY. iM IN MY 60'S BUT THIS CREAM IS WONDERFUL. wHEN i PUT ON HOPE IN A JAR IT FEELS SO SMOOTH AND REFRESHING ON MY SKIN i JUST LOVE IT. ACTUALLY, i FIND THE SCENT TO BE VERY FRESH AND PLEASANT - SOOTHING AND COMFORTING. i DON'T UNDERSTAND THE NEGATIVE COMMENTS ABOUT THE SCENT. pLEASE DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT HOPE IN A JAR.

I have been searching for the perfect moisturizer pretty much since I found out that moisturizer existed. So i've gone through all of the store brands and hated all of them, they either made me break out or make my skin overly dry. I have difficult skin because It's combination oily and dry, and when I say dry i mean that the skin flakes off, so it's really difficult for me to find products that really take care of my skin. Then I found philosophy and it was like happily ever after. I will never try any other skin products, my all time favorite is the purity one step cleanser. And so to take care of my dry skin i really wanted to try hope in a jar. i decided to go with the formula for all skin types instead of the dry skin formula because its says its only for dry skin and i need something that works for oily too. I read the reviews on this one and everyone kept talking about the smell and me being me i just thought that people were complaining about something that probably isn't that bad. So i when i got it in the mail i opened the jar and took a whiff, i couldn't smell anything so im thinking "gosh what a bunch of whiners". so i dab a bit on my face and ooommmggg then i could smell it and it is sooo bad. it has to be one of the worst smells i have ever smelled in a product. to me it smells like a combination of carrots, insulin, and some kind of body odor. yuck. fortunately the smell does tone itself down after its been on your face for about 5 minutes, thankfully. as far as the product itself, its great. it doesn't make me break out and it leaves your skin velvety and soft to the touch. i just wish philosophy would do something about the smell or lack thereof.
