Meh...

i'll start out by saying that i'm a beauty product junky, and I love exploring philosophy products. I've tried most of the products for normal to oily complexions, and even though hope in a jar has a cult following, It just doesn't do it for me. i do like the consistency, and it does feel very moisturizing, if not a bit tacky on the skin. I don't care for the smell...it never used to bother me, but now it does. Perhaps it's been reformulated since I first tried it several years ago. The main issue, however, is that it does clog my pores. I don't get breakouts, but I do get quite a few more blackheads when I use this moisturizer. blackheads are a deal breaker.

i can't say enough wonderful things about this. i have super dry skin that flakes off with typical drugstore moisturizers, and with this my skin is hydrated, smooth, glowy, just beautiful and healthy. it moisturizes like a dream, but it exfoliates as well with the lactic acid! I have had a milia problem all my life, and this stuff really helps keep those annoying little bumps away without drying out my skin - a true wonder. it works for my sister who has acne prone, oily skin as well. it's universal, you can't go wrong!

first i have to say that i only use this moisturizer for night because i wear spf lotion during the day. this cream sinks into the skin and makes skin feel soft, but not overly greasy. it doesn't make me break-out or cause any irritation. my one drawback is the price. i think it is kind of expensive for a moisturizer although the jar does seem to last a really long time. when this jar is empty, i will only buy another if i can afford it at the time.
