love Philosophy bath/fragrance products, got this as a sample with my latest purchase--would never purchase a large jar. Moisturizes well but, can't stand the smell.

I've read so many reviews saying how people dislike the smell of hope in a jar. it initially discouraged me from purchasing, since i am very sensitive to smells. i ended up purchasing a skin-care kit, which included hope in a jar. i was so curious to smell it, and to my surprise I didn't find it offensive at all! it has a very lite scent (more like an avada product). I knew i would love the product; since all philosophy products are 5 stars in my book!
if you are on the fence buying this b/c of the smell- don't worry! it is quite delightful and a wonderful moisturizer!

the title pretty much says it all, hope in a jar is the best moisturizer i have ever tried. I was a little hesitant to use it because usually moisturizers in jars tend to be on the "heavy" side and make my combination skin an oil slick. A co-worker kept talking about how much she loved it so i gave it a try. It is the perfect daily moisturizer, my skin is never dry and never greasy. the smell was something to get use to but i never hated it, it's just...different. definitely nothing to keep me from using this product for years to come.

Hope in a jar has been a lifesaver! Other moisturizers made my combination skin oily and greasy, but this has kept my skin smooth and moisturized without clogging my pores.
