This perfume has been used in my family for generations. I use it, my mother used it and my grandmother and aunts used it. It's such a beautiful fragrance.
Shalimar is a classic scent, light floral with citrus and you can wear it year round! Scent holds all of its notes consistently and NO heady alcohol, chemical-ly smell like many of the new colognes I have tried.
This is for the EdT version of Shalimar - there is a slight ting of smokiness or burnt wood in the EdT which doesn't present itself at all in the perfume version. I can also see why the EdT version doesn't get as much love as the slightly burnt notes can turn some people off. I think the smoky notes lend something slightly special to the EdT version and I reach for the EdT more than the EdP.
