I liked the patent very much but found the patent leather to be a little stiff. I also ordered the sandal in black leather that I found to be more comfortable for me. I am sending the Black Patent back only because of the stiff feeling on the foot. All in all a very nice sandal.
My feet have been ruined for life for all other sandals but 'Elka". Have had them in black patent, brown leather and now this new color, which is a great change of pace.

Perfect fit summer sandal

Proscomfortable, versatile, adjustable, high quality

I have been looking for comfortable summer sandals that do not pinch my toes, rub my heels or ankles. I have purchased the black patent and the grey metallic "Elka" sandals and they are sooooo comfortable. They may not be the most stylish looking sandals, like SW or Jimmy Choo, but they definitely make up for it in comfort and arch support. I am a very busy mom who is on her feet for 12-14 hours a day. I need shoes that I can put on and forget. These are definitely the sandals that fit that bill. I normally wear Dansko or Sanita clogs all winter, but needed something more for warmer months. I am a Mephisto fan for life!!! I have researched this brand and even though they are pricey, I know that the quality speaks for itself. If you are tired of painful, yet pretty shoes, and want to try something really comfortable and actually "good" for your feet and back try the Mephisto brand. You will not be disappointed!!

Great slip-on sandal. Purchased the gray-etna for summer; its shiny, silvery texture goes with everything. My original pair of brown leather was purchased 10 years ago and is still in great shape.
