I have been wearing Mephisto shoes, boots and sandals for over twenty years..I have 6 pairs of the Elka's(different textures and colors) and they are just the best walking sandals...my staple from late Spring to early Autumn and I have had some of them for years..each year I add a pair...they never lose their comfort and match all my casual outfits...easy to care for...you cannot miss with these sandals..I think Mephisto actually discontinued these for awhile and brought them back...couldn't be happier!!

I have worn Mephisto Elka shoes for over ten years. However, they are not quite what they used to be. This shoe fit perfectly, looked great, but it smelled strange. It came directly from the vendor, the Mephisto warehouse, even though I ordered it from Nordstrom's. So I talked with a Nordstrom associate who was very helpful, and I sent the shoe back today, the smell was so intense. Mephisto Elka used to have "Made in France" printed right on the leather, but this one just had a little round sticker that said "Made in Portugal."

THE Most Comfortable Shoes

I've been eyeing this shoe for quite a while now but couldn't justify paying this much (it's a lot for me!) for them. I finally broke down and bought a pair in the metallic platinum/bronze color and could not be happier!
From day one, I received compliments on them and they've been the most comfortable shoes I've owned. I have a semi-wide foot and wear a 7-1/2. Since these don't come in half sizes, I ordered the size 8 and they fit like a custom made pair of shoes.
I'll order another pair in black when I can. If you're on the fence like I was, go ahead and buy them! You'll love them...

I love these sandals. They are fashion forward AND comfortable. I chose the gun metal color which is a great neutral. The Mephisto footbed is more aggressive than some other premium comfort shoe brands (like Finn Comfort). They take a little more breaking in but are worth the wait.
