Great stuff, wish it had more lemon scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shaving creme - Very good. Easy to lather (important, espically for beginners), and provided great protection during the shave. I would have given it 5 stars, except that I wanted more lemon scent. I get a hint of lemon, with a hint of soap... Not bad, just not what I'd expected.

"I'm the cream of the crop...I rise to the top....."

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Why yes.....that was a House Of Pain - "Jump Around" quote in my title, but it fits. The reason it does is that, besides the fact it is a cream I am talking about, it is probably one of the top shaving creams I have ever used!
Once I had my stubbly face all pre-oiled up, it was time to brake out the 'ol badger shaving brush and get down to some lathering up! The first thing I noticed when I took the cap off the tub of the Lemon Shaving Cream was just how fluffy it appeared. That fluffy-ness really made the cream very alluring to try for sure. You could tell it would not be a heavy cream. That fluffy texture plus the light lemon scent made it almost seem like this was a jar of Lemon Meringue pie topping.......ummmmmm pie. Sorry, getting off track here. I found that using the badger brush with this cream you only need to lightly dip the bristles into the tub to get enough to cover your face. You want to just use enough to have a thin layer on your face. This will allow you to get more shaves out of a jar. Also you don't want to have too much on your face as it will make your razor clog up and need rinsing much more often. When you are shaving, an occasional light whiff of lemon aroma will hit you which adds to the experience. This light cream makes your razor just glide across your face which also requires less pressure you have to apply to the razor against your face. The final plus about this product is that not only does it do its job as a shaving cream, it also has great moisturizers in it. In fact after you finish shaving with your razor, your face feels really moisturized, smooth and healthy. So much so that if for some reason you did not have the next step to this kit (or temporarily out of it) which is the after-shave balm, you could almost get away without needing it (almost ;) )
After you are done with this cream you might just want to "Jump Around" as you are in the process of getting the best shave of your life!

Lemony and Luscious Lather

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I often don't use commercial shaving cream. It is often a thick goopey mess that stays on my razor blade and reduces the quality of my shave and life of my razor blades. However, this Art of Shaving Shaving Cream is good. A little dab of cream lathers up to cover my entire face and back of neck. The lemon aroma is pleasant and not too strong, and adds some happiness to my otherwise boring routine of shaving. The lather really helps soften the hair and skin to make shaving easier, and it doesn't build up as gunk nearly as much as traditional shaving creams. I would definitely recommend this shaving cream to anyone looking for a quality cream for their routine. I'm glad The Art of Shaving sent me this to try out!

Thick like Shaving Cream Should Be

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had only ever used canned shaving cream before receiving my Lemon shaving cream from The Art of shaving. The lemon shaving cream was thick and aromatic, it allowed for the closest cleanest shave I have ever experienced. When applied with the right brush the shaving cream lathered perfectly. I am addicted, I would recommend this product to anyone that shaves.
