This perfume is classic. It has a warmer tone. Not flowery. My mom has warm it for years and we always think of her when she wears it. It lasts all day but doesn’t overwhelm anyone. It’s a quiet scent.
I just spoke with a rep. with Clinique’s Consumer Communications Department (1-866-707-2100). I was told that the formulation of Aromatics Elixir was changed due to regulations and that there are no plans to change it back. Like everyone else, I am devistated as this has been my signature fragrance for 30 years. I am switching to Channel No5. Goodbye Clinique.
This perfume is beautiful. If you like synthetic, main stream, sweet fragrances this is not for you. It smells earthy, aromatic and like it's made with true oils. A classic chypre fragrance that is truly ladylike. I know why this has been around since the 70's, so classic.
