Prosgentle, exfoliating
Loved this men's lotion for my husband. Makes me face feel tingly and fresh. The perfect way to start a new day. Nordstrom's is always happy to help with my selections.

This tonic is nice, as others have mentioned it's very similar to the Clarifying Lotion 3. It's not as strong as the oil control tonic formula (similar to Clarifying Lotion 4), which I was using but switched to this as my skin's has turned drier lately (sensitive and dehydrated type 3 skin). It does the job very well, removes residue and preps skin for hydration and treatment. It never burns my skin or stings. I love to use it when shaving too, as I find it helps with razor bumps. It evaporates almost instantly and never leaves any residue behind. I usually use this with the Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam, as the acne clarifying lotion is usually too much since I use an Rx product and an additional salicylic acid product.

Best exfoliator ever!

I'm a skin type 3, with a very oily forehead and nose. Oily shine has always been a problem. I'm also slightly sensitive, and prone to dehydration. I've used products with BHA and AHA for years, and some are great, but some cause irritation. A lot of them strip the skin, and end up making me even oilier. I was worried this might irritate my skin or cause redness, I was wrong! This stuff is great. It really does remove excess oil but without any irritation at all, in fact it's somewhat calming and soothing. I also use it with an acne product or two and no irritation at all. It also helps some to control shine. I've used the clarifying lotions (type 3 or 4) before and they were nice, but I like this better. I would give this 6 stars if I could!
