Already a Clinique user, I thought by the name that this would be the mascara for me. Perhaps "doubling" means the number of applications. A single application was simply no where near enough to enhance my lashes. I was truly disappointed.
I had high hopes for this, as I've used High Impact Mascara for many years, alternating with Bobbi Brown Everything Mascara. The Bobbi Brown is now gone, so "doubling" seemed like a good idea. I'm used to fairly generous brushes that evenly coat my long lashes. This brush is quite narrow, but I gave it a try. It seemed to just apply the thick product without separating lashes and dried quickly so that even using a lash comb didn't work. Mascara choice is so subjective--might be great for some, but I returned this.

This went on too clumpy and smeared. I like cover girl mascara better!
