Proslong-wearing, non-sticky, moisturizing, luscious, deeply rosy, basic
I've used this gloss for years--finally ran out and am delighted to see Clinique still carries it. On my way to pick up more now. Try it, it works on nearly every skin tone. Not too sticky--wears a long time. And this from someone who probably 'eats off' 10 pounds of lipgloss annually!

A classic

This review pertains specifically to "Black Honey," Clinique's unique color that seems to look good on everyone. I've heard about it for years and now that I finally tried it, I'm glad I added it to my lipstick collection. Dark purple-y black in the tube (close your eyes), it goes on sheer and rosy and enhances my own natural lip color. Great for when you want a hint of color and subtle shine. Nicely moisturizing as well.

Prosnon-sticky, creamy
Just right berry shade with a very fine texture - I'm fair and the color is lovely with my skin tone.

A Grown-up Girl's Gloss

Proslong-wearing, non-sticky, creamy, moisturizing, hydrating
I purchased Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I'm on the golden/yellow/tan side of the neutral spectrum and when worn, the gloss appears to be a deeper, berry/wine shade of my natural lip colour. In the tube, however, it looks like a vampy, almost-noir colour; and when I tested it on the back of my hand, it literally looked like the colour of the flesh of a grape (not a cartoony, purple grape, but an actual grape you find at your grocery store!). The formula itself is aptly named "almost lipstick," as it feels less sticky, heavier and more pigmented than a gloss, but sheerer and lighter than a true lipstick. The colour is very natural and works well with my "light, au natural make-up" routine: concealer, powder, mascara and gloss. The tube it is cased in is very clutch friendly, but not so compact to comfortably shove in your back pocket. I don't consider this a must have, but it is a nice transition away from the beloved soda-flavoured chapsticks of my youth.
