I purchased Clinique's Almost Lipstick in Black Honey. I'm on the golden/yellow/tan side of the neutral spectrum and when worn, the gloss appears to be a deeper, berry/wine shade of my natural lip colour. In the tube, however, it looks like a vampy, almost-noir colour; and when I tested it on the back of my hand, it literally looked like the colour of the flesh of a grape (not a cartoony, purple grape, but an actual grape you find at your grocery store!). The formula itself is aptly named "almost lipstick," as it feels less sticky, heavier and more pigmented than a gloss, but sheerer and lighter than a true lipstick. The colour is very natural and works well with my "light, au natural make-up" routine: concealer, powder, mascara and gloss. The tube it is cased in is very clutch friendly, but not so compact to comfortably shove in your back pocket. I don't consider this a must have, but it is a nice transition away from the beloved soda-flavoured chapsticks of my youth.

Clinique Almost Lipstick - Black Honey

Prosnon-sticky
I bought this after seeing so many reviews on the versatility of this lippie. When I got it, I was initially shocked to see how dark it looked in the tube, almost black! But when I applied this one my lips, it is a pretty shade of red :) so lovely and rosy :) the only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating is because it is a little drying for me... Otherwise, a lovely product :)

Prossticky, poor texture
I've always heard people rave about this lipstick. I finally broke down and tried it. Ugh. The color was horrible on my fair skin. The texture of the lipstick was almost as bad. No way I was I keeping that. I went back to the store the next day.
