I recieved with gift purchased , like the colour n glossy feeling. Loved by many but not me. Sorry. It gives spilt in center of lips n burning sensation. This is not the first even yesteryears too.

Nice sheer color, but in my case, over use caused lip drying

I am a natural lip balm lover. Perhaps this was my issue. I am used to deeply nourishing tinted lip balms. Received one of these as a free sample and loved the color and sheen. Ordered a full size because of it. But found, sadly, that use of this product, in lieu of my natural tinted lip balms left my lips chapped. Still have them around, but found the chubby stick, while wholly different, didn't cause drying and provides color, albeit not sheer or with as much sheen. Still a nice product, but check on your lip health after serial use.

Black Honey is hydrating, easy to apply, and looks great on almost everyone. It's a cult product for a reason. I have and will purchase it over and over again.

Not Universally Flattering

This is not good for everyone, despite the marketing hype. While I'm sure it's popular for good reason, it simply doesn't suit every skin tone. For reference, I have a fair olive skintone with a lot of pink/red pigment in my lips, and this product washes my lips out. The finish is nice and sheer, albeit a bit drying, and the colour doesn't flatter me - at least on my lips. I tried putting some on my cheeks and there it looks more like a sun-kissed glow as opposed to dull and subdued, so as a cheek tint it works in my case. But for its intended purpose, I give it a lower rating.
