I keep a tube of Black Honey in my purse at all times, using it both for color and/or a balm for dry lips. I love it and have love it for more years than I can remember (since I got my first sample!)

Amazing color that moisturizes

This came to me in a sample-with-purchase set. I had no idea how popular it was, but after trying it a few times I understood why. The sample has lasted me a good while, and I loved it so much I sent one to my sister for Christmas. She was reallllly skeptical when she opened it because of how dark the color was, but when she put it on she called me immediately to rave about how much she loved it too! I have very light skin and freckles, FWIW. I want to try the lighter pink shade when it's back in stock.

Doesn't compliment South Asians

I never spent this much for a lip balm and the way people raved about it I was excited to finally find something that made my lips look good without having to wear lipstick, a 'your lips but better look'. As other South Asian customers have said, Black honey isn't flattering at all. I suppose we aren't the target demographic despite them claiming it works on every skin tone. If I apply a few layers, nothing can be seen on my two toned lips, lips that a lot of POC have. And if I apply more layers, my lips start looking red or maroon and patchy, with dark bits of my lips showing instead of the flattering pink of my lower lip. I am very disappointed and wish I didn't waste my money on it. It honestly upset me that there's rarely any product out there for South Asian girls that actually works and gives the 'your lips but better look.
