I would have never bought this product if it weren't for the reviews. The color looks extremely dark in the tub and I'm very fair. So of course I didn't think this would be a match. When I read the reviews it sounded like this is a lipstick like no other, something I had to try. I ordered the darker color and then realized that they had a lighter color but decided to just stick with the dark and return it when I was convinced it wouldn't work. When I first put it on I put it on really light, one coat. At first it was a little dark but still doable then after about half hour it absorbed into my lips....so it feels like a stain but the color is PERFECT once it sinks in. I was surprised and thought I would have to return it. It does feel like a stain, so if you don't like that feel you may not like it but it really does give you a perfect color. I wear very little makeup, my look is very natural and I will wear this all the time. Genius Clinique!

Best lipstick for "I don't wear lipstick" person!

This product is AMAZING! I am the type of person who doesn't really "do" lip color as I am, honestly, afraid of color. I am slowly working my way into more colors and more makeup, as I really don't wear a lot beyond neutral-type color for any part of my regiment. So anyway, this is a fantastic choice for those who want to practice, so to speak, and get more daring along the way! I cannot speak for those who are makeup "experts" (read: those not afraid of colors or those very experienced with makeup regiments) ... but I assume that this type of person might use this as a "go to" easy application with no mirror needed. Overall, I cannot think of ANY negative/con to this product! Simply amazing!

This color is so amazing. When I first tried it, years ago, I was not feeling the color upon first glance. However, it is very deceiving as it is a sheer lipstick. It gives your lips the most amazing color. It isn't too dark or too light...it's just awesome.

It didn't work out for me. I was hoping for something that won't come off when I drink my coffee. It does feel soft though.
