I love the smooth, easily-applied formula, and Black Honey is a unique, possibly seasonal shade which flatters nearly everyone. A lighter touch will (obviously) produce a lighter color on the lips, as a second application will produce an altogether different shade. I'd heard about this product and tested it at the Clinique counter at a local department store. The Almost Lipstick is soft and glides on effortlessly and the color is, well, you'll just have to try it on. Now I know why it's stood the test of time and is considered a classic. You cannot go wrong with this one.

I love how subtle and pretty the color is on this! It works even with my super light skin without being overwhelming, and works just as well on my more tanned friends who have it. The texture is a bit odd, not as heavy as lipstick or as glossy as lip gloss. It takes some getting used to.

The color is not bad, I like it!

I received this as a sample in one of my free gifts from clinique. When I opened it the color seemed too dark, but works for me. I really like the color, it's not too dark with a hint of red. It lasts all day. I sometimes go over my lips with a shimmer clear gloss but it's not necessary. It's pretty by itself too.
