Prosit's simply amazing!
Consi'm afraid they will take it away again.
When I was in my early 20's I was loyal to this product. It was actually the first and, until the recent re-release of Clinique's Chubby Sticks, last lip product I had ever owned. I loved this product then and I love this product now. It's amazing. Black Honey is the PERFECT color. I love it. I was so upset when it was discontinued. I stocked up and used it for years after it was gone. It was this product that led me to buy other Clinique items like eye shadow and blush. I have to say this is by far the most amazing lip product available today. I love it! I use the Chubby Sticks too but this will always be my favorite.

Black Honey Almost Lipstick

Proschameleon color, so easy to apply
Black Honey Almost Lipstick is my favorite all time lipstick. It feels great on and is such a versatile color. I feel in love with it the first time I put it on.

Goes on smoothly, but not moisturizing

Consdries out lips, not moisturizing enough
I applied this product in black honey several times a day for almost a month, and my lips were constantly dry. I have dry combination skin, and this is not moisturizing enough for my lips for regular use. Black honey is a very pretty color, it goes on smoothly, and it looks nice and natural. However, I expected the almost lipstick to be more moisturizing (more like a lip balm) than the different lipstick, but Clinique's different lipstick has never dried out my lips even with constant use. I still might repurchase and use every once in a while, but I'll probably just look for a similar color and coverage.

Consdoesn't live up to the original excellence
From my age info, you can guess that I have used several Clinique products over the years with Black Honey Lipstick being my favorite. About 15 years ago I rotated Black Honey out of my makeup products. Around October of 2012 I saw the Clinique website and decided that it was time to time to place it back into my "lineup". To my complete disappointment it was NOWHERE near the product that was among my favorites years ago. Specifically, (1) it was extremely dry AND drying on the lips, (2) it was difficult to apply, (3) it caked up immediately into the corners of my mouth, (4) it disappeared completely after only an hour, (5) the pigment intensity was incredibly low, (6) it was a color and consistency that looked good with almost anything and any event, and (7) it failed in what had been its best attribute which was to be a lipstick that always looked great from initial application through easy reapplication just a few times during the day. I had NEVER had to use any kind of products under Black Honey before but I did try to see if I could overcome the problems of the current Black Honey product by trying several brands and formulas of lip conditioners, primers, powders, wrinkle fillers, ridge fillers, dry oils, serums, lotions, mattifying products, BB creams, foundations, concealers, etc. But nothing that I added improved the performance of this latest Black Honey lipstick to its original excellence. I miss THAT terrific product!!
