Chanel Pour Monsieur is an elusive bird in the men's fragrance world. My great uncle, a bon vivant and world traveler, recommended this fragrance to me when I was a young teenager, back then it being called "Chanel For Men" for the US market. He promised me it would be the only fragrance I would ever need and would be suited for any occasion. He was absolutely right. After trying many colognes over the years, and finally realizing that I'm not really a fragrance type person on a daily basis, I always came back to Chanel Pour Monsieur. It is the only fragrance I own now and the compliments never cease when the very sublteness of it catches an admiring nod. Much appreciation to Nordstrom for knowing that Chanel Pour Monsieur is special. It takes a very thoughtful buyer within the Nordstrom organization to make this available almost exclusively within their impeccably stylish universe, knowing that that Chanel Pour Monsieur is somewhat of a secret men's fragrance, and those of us who know, know how special and elusive this fragrance truly is... Thank you Nordstrom...always the style icon...
This cologne his been on the market for years but is not promoted much by Chanel. I have been buying it for years - it has a great scent but is not overpowering. People (in meetings, at parties, etc) often ask me what I'm wearing. This is great stuff.
