A "Gem" of a Color

It's been years since I've purchase a nail polish for more than eight dollars. Yet, when I began to give myself a pedicure for a special event--I realized what I've been missing. The color [Peridot] is brilliant--to say the least. Unlike other brands it's 'true to form' straight out of the bottle... When applying it, I found myself comparing it to silk. Yes... It's a bit expensive. But it's worth every penny!

saw this colour reccomended by visual therapy stylist jesse garza; tried it and I LOVE IT. looks fabulous for all fall/winter pieces. One coat with one coat of black is also really great. THis goes from fall through the holiday season...great neutral but dramatic look.

Worth The Price!
PostedSeptember 28, 2011
In the last two months I've purchased several bottles of Chanel, Deborah Lippman, and Butter to see if indeed Department store nail polish differs from drugstore or beauty supply nail polish. I was definitely biased and thought only the bottle was fancier and that's what you paid for. Several years ago I gave up wearing color on my hands because I was so sick of manicurists telling me my manicure would last a week when hours later my polish was chipped. After trying Black Pearl (a dark pearly green) Intermezzo (white irridescent) Paradoxal (graphite gray), Particuliere (a taupe) and Vendetta (very dark almost black purple) I have to say Chanel is worth the price. Not only did the polish wear very well, my nails have not broken once in the last month and usually I have a broken nail at least two to three times per week.
My only complaint....if you buy these in the store based on how the color appears in the bottle you will be disappointed. Paradoxal (looks like a gorgeous medium pearly purple) which turns gray, and Vendetta (appears as a dark pearly purple) which turns virtually black.
