This is one of my favorite hair products. I've been using it for many years, both before I started coloring my hair and after. I was relieved that the new Phyto package design is just that and the formula and scent have remained the same.
Use: Spray all over the head after shampooing and before styling. You can get this product right on the roots/scalp. You would have to spray half a bottle to get the greasy or limp results you'd get with another spray conditioner or a serum or oil drops.
It will add a sleek smoothness to blow dried hair but it will actually really amp up volume on air-dried hair, especially if you work your hands through and scrunch it up as it dries.
During winter, if my ends get really dry, I will spray this on them during the day or in between shampoos. No grease or weight on dry hair if you keep the spraying light.
Shine: The shine imparted won't be the glassy type you get from oils, but it will definitely look healthy and reflect a lot more light than without it.
Conditioning; It's hard to say how much conditioning you get from this product since it's quite light and most of us condition in the shower already. But I definitely notice my hair feels easier to work with, less likely to tangle and knot and my color does last longer when I use this. No product is a magic wand, but getting even four or five extra days between colorings at the salon is a lot and I feel like that's what I get with this vs when I don't use it.
Scent: Not overpowering, but does have staying power. Light and slightly floral.
Bottom line: A good product that's more versatile than it appears at first glance, would work on many different hair types.

I am glad to have found this product. I have a lot of conditioners to use when shampooing my hair, but I now use this in between shampoos with a blow dryer to touch up my flattened hair. It gives shine and volume and lets me go longer without shampooing. It helps my hair to spray this on before using the blow dryer.

Proslightweight, natural, effective
I found this product in Tahiti when I was on my honeymoon and desperate to put some moisture into my thin, baby-fine and colored-treated hair. Total stab in the dark since everything in the shop was from France and written in French. What a lucky find! That was 10 years ago and I've been using it ever since. Can't always find it so I've occasionally had to make do with substitutes, but nothing else I've tried beats this product. I've recommended it to friends and they love it too. I spray it on between shampoos onto my dry hair in the mornings, especially in the back of my head where the pillow roughs up the hair. Makes my hair silky, shiny and manageable without weighing it down at all. Nice and light - my hair loves it!
Phytomist is a light conditioner mist with a fresh citrus like smell. Daily I use a heavier conditioner in the shower. However, on occasion, I use this Phtyomist product to moisten and revitalize my wavy hair.
