My favorite shoe of all time!

I have owned a couple pair of Waldens for several years. They are my favorite shoe of all time! They are comfortable right out of the box, easy to care for and they last a long time.

Snug shoe

I wear a 10D and bought these in a 10D. They were a snug fit in the store, and a year later, the fit is still snug (imagine that, right?). If I had it to do over again, I likely would have tried another size. I'm not a shoedie (shoe equivalent of a foodie) so I can't get much more descriptive than that. Every foot is different I suppose, but based on my experience I would recommend trying these on before buying your usual size.
Quality wise, I am very satisfied. I've worn them every other day for a year and the shoes are in great shape. No creases, the shoe is still stiff, which I like. I also caught these on a sale and feel as though I got a great value for the money. If you like the style, I would strongly recommend this shoe. Just try it on first.

Quality Casual Loafer

I wear this loafer each Sunday to church. Very comforatble. I like these because to me they are on the border of casual and dress. I want something that will standout because od quality not flashiness. This shoe fits the mold.

Slick loafers

Unlike the other reviewers before, I had no trouble with my Waldens running narrow or short. Quite the opposite. All of my other AE shoes (6 pair) I wear in a 14E. Based on the description of the last this is made on, and on the characteristics of loafers in general, I went with a 14D to ensure the shoe would fit snugly on my foot. The D width is spot on, but I likely could have gotten away with a 13, instead, as the back of my heel wasn't in contact with the back of the shoe. This was easily fixed with a pair of tongue pads and they feel great now. On other notes, I'm a year in and have had no trouble with wearing the sole out, though I did have to to re-heel them (as a large guy like me expects to do). Comfort-wise, they are the easiest on my soles of my AEs, not that the others aren't comfortable, these just seem more so. All in all, I've been thrilled with these shoes and recommend the burgundy be the go-to loafer in your closet.
