Excellent shoe and great service

I have 5 pair of Waldens - and 9 other pairs of AE. Waldens are extremely comfortable. Had one pair that had some leather discoloration and AE refinished them w/o question or hesitation.
Swear by and continually promote AE shoes as the best. Recrafting each pair as needed - another great service. And I'm not related to anyone at AE. Just like the product and service.

Wrinkling leather?

First, I will confirm the opinions of previous reviews on the stiffness of the leather - slightly stiffer than expected but still at a tolerable level.

I've worn these shoes only about a dozen times and completely stopped wearing them about 2 months into ownership. The reason - the leather cross the top portion of the right shoe (as well as left) has wrinkled considerably. When not in use, they've always been kept in shoe trees and no amount of polishing has been able to remove the wrinkles. Wondering if this is a defect as this issue has not happened with my other Allen Edmonds shoes (different models).

I've owned a couple other pairs of Allen Edmonds and have found the quality to be fantastic. I'll likely continue to purchase Allen Edmonds but the issue with this particular model just seems odd.

Terrific shoe but sizing is off

I began buying AEs in 2003 (still got that pair, and it's still doing great) and probably own around 6 or 7 pairs by now.
The Walden is a really nice shoe - but it's got one big problem. I'm pretty consistently a 10D, although I also have a pair of Randolphs in 9.5D that are just fine. I bought a Walden in 10D thinking it would be right - but it isn't. The 10D Waldens are considerably tighter and somewhat shorter than the 9.5D Randolphs, which is odd. I think that AE should warn folks, especially those buying over the internet, of this sizing oddity.

Disappointed in the shoe quality

These shoes as I have purchased several over the years were most disappointing. After the purchase of these shoes I am considering buying Cole Hahns as the quality seems to have diminshed.
