This is my "go to shoe". When I am not sure just how dressed up I need to be I can comfortably put on a newly polished pair of waldens and know I will pass any inspections of proprienty. Even though I am no longer a jeans sort of guy I wore my Waldens with a pair recently and they looked as appropriate as they do with slacks and a sports coat. Thank you AE for making such a great fitting and great looking shoe.

Far exceeded my expectations

Bought a pair in October 2006 while working in Manhattan on a project. My wife joined me for an extended weekend that December, and I wore these shoes for 4 days straight as she wanted to see every square mile of Manhattan. My running shoes would not have been more comfortable. The comfort of these shoes was amazing for a dress/casual shoe. I've had them totally refurbished once, and continue to wear today - October 25, 2011.

Great quality shoe. Best penny loafer I've ever owned

These are really nice shoes. I've owned them for about 3 weeks. The length and width seem right, but they are a bit tight across the top of my foot. My guess is this will eventually work itself out as the shoes are broken in. They look great - the leather is rich and deep. The quality of construction promises that, with proper care, I'll own these shoes for a long time. They quite possibly might be the last pair of burgundy penny loafers I'll ever buy.

The best "penny" loafer I've found

I've tried several brands of "penny" loafers, but this is the best I've found. Traditional styling, excellent detailing, and consistent AE fit. I've worn them in business and social settings, and they always look good.
