The Walden is a good shoe for work.

This is a well constructed, beautiful, stylish shoe. I had been looking forward to wearing them with my jeans and kakis. Unfortunately though, they are just too narrow, and in my size there is no EE or EEE to move up to.
My left foot is wider than the right, however, I usually can make an E work with a little bit of stretching. With the Waldens, neither shoe fit properly. They were both far too narrow. The two other pairs of Allen Edmonds i had recently purchased each fit fine. Each was an E width, each required a little stretching, with the left only. And they are both perfectly comfortable.
I would greatly recommend ordering a width larger.

excellent with this one exception

i have purchaed a number of allen edmunds shoes over the years and have been thorouhly pleased wiht all of them except this one. it may be just this one but the right shoe has stretched out and lost it shape the left one is fine. none of my other ae shoes have done the same. it has also affected my foot.
i would however recommend ae shoes without reservation. expensive but worth it. is a great looking shoe, with this exception
