I got my normal 11.5 D, but this model was much narrower and I have had to try an E (still waiting on those). I have three other Allen Edmonds pairs that are all the same size as these and fit fine, so I am not sure why these are cut narrower -- but they are.

I bought a pair or Alan Edmonds over 20 yrs agao. I have worn them at least 2 time a week. Finally the sole got a very small wear hole and I just about died. I went on line and heard about re-crafting. Very skepticle but called and was tlked through the process. So I sen them in. Boy...got them back and could not get in them. After several weeks and wearing them, the stretched back to normal for me. The workmanship is nothing short of magnificant. The shoes looked jus tlike new: new tassles, cleans leather, new heal liner inside and could not believe it. SO I went to buy a pair of Waldens. I have ourchesed 7D, 7.5D, 8D and now finally trying a 7.5E that had to be made her in the good ole USA.......I hope I finally get it right. I really appreciate a good pair of shoes and Alan Edmonds make them so to spec, it is sometime hard to fit me, especially when I have one foor larger than the other. But dont worry, if I had know at the time Nordstroms ordered them, I would have special ordered on size for left and one for right. I can't wait to get them. I just know they will last as long as my others ones. The Nordstrom sales person did not believe me about teh age, but when I shouwed him the hand writing on bottom next to the heel showing teh sku number and price, he became a believer. So try Alan Edmonds if you want a grreat, long lasting gook looking pair of shoes that will last for decades! I did and am very happy.

Beautiful shoe. The size was quite "true to size", but the width was very narrow, even for an "E". We are trying a wider shoe and style and hope they will work. Love to know this shoe is made in the USA.
