This dress is very elegant but not over-the-top formal. I'm 5'3" and ordered a 6P which fit me perfectly. I'm in my 50's so the arm coverage is nice and the bateau neckline is very flattering. I bought this dress as a mother-of-the-bride and I forsee wearing this dress to future events.

I bought this dress for my brother's orthodox jewish wedding which was the perfect color as my sister in law was looking for everyone to wear eggplant. I love this dress and even though it was too sheer on top to wear without a shell underneath for th wedding it looks awesome with the shell underneath and without it is a beautiful dress overall!

This dress is beautiful, and I love it, but it's too long, and just about every reviewer has said the same thing. I normally wear a regular, but I ordered this in a petite bc of the reviews, yet it is still too long. I am going to have to pay to have it shortened. But, the color is beautiful (I got the midnight blue) so it's worth the extra I am going to have to pay to have it shortened.
