I have had this brush for a very long time and it does stop shedding, but I almost return it because of the annoying shedding. I use to use it for liquid but found the small duo works better. I use this one for powder, my hourglass luminous light. I think for powder, it picks up medium to light application. I wouldn't use it for power foundation. A light dusting of finishing power or even bronzer would work well. I just don't know if I would recommend this brush because of the shedding.

Awful shedding!

This is an amazing stippling brush; leaves your skin looking airbrushed with MAC foundation. But I don't have time to pick 20+ brush hairs off of my face every morning! I didn't return it, thinking the shedding would improve with use and washing. Unfortunately, it sheds just as badly years later as it did at first. Would not recommend.
