Get a side wider. The heel is so short that my foot slips out. The arch is high, and I have flat feet.

Happy Feet!

I have these same shoes I have worn over the past 6 years in brown and now I have them in black. I am very pleased with the comfort and quality. Since the pandemic my return to work attire has become increasingly casual and these have become my go to shoes that I can dress up or down as needed.

Not As Comfortable As My First Pair

I ordered my new black Wilberts after seeing they were being made in Port Washington again. The reviews of the shoes being made offshore did not inspire confidence, so I waited to see what AE was going to do. I was happy to see their decision aligned with my desire to purchase American made shoes.
The shoes arrived quickly and looked great out of the box. The fit seems to be different than my last pair of Wilberts (brown). A little tight around the top of the foot which is a shame. I am hoping the fit will improve after wearing them more. I did not have to do this with my last pair, so I took one star off of my review.

Described on website as "Handcrafted in Port Washington, WI, with fine imported leathers". However, the shoes are actually made in the Dominican Republic. They are being returned.
One star due to deceptive marketing.

The Wilbert is currently made in our Port Washington, Wisconsin factory and the online description is correct. We're incredibly sorry that you received a Dominican Republic pair. This style has always been made in the US, with the exception of a short period between mid 2018-2019 where its production temporarily moved to our Dominican Republic facility. While all Wilberts in stock should now be USA made, it appears this pair may have slipped through the cracks and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
