I love the way the applicator glides on the smooth lipcolor onto my lips! AND the color stays for at least half the day - this is after my coffee, breakfast, snack and the constant dabbing of my lips with napkins all morning. The only thing I need to reapply is the clear gloss. The thing I love most about this lip color is that if I do not want the super high gloss loop (for an important meeting) I can just use my chapstick over the lipcolor and it still looks great! I can have the color without the glossy shine!

Bought this lip gloss to try for my wedding. The color does stay, but you really need to be good about reapplying the gloss throughout the day otherwise the color does get flaky.

This is an excellent product. It's not my favorite long wear lip color--Chanel gets that "award". Chanel, however, has few colors that look good on my slightly olive skin. The reason Chanel's is better than the Mac lip color is that throughout the day, with Chanel I can use a lip gloss that's in my purse--any type of lip gloss. With the Mac, the ONLY, and I do mean only top coat one can use is the one that's at the other end of the tube. If one tries another gloss--no matter the brand--the lip color will peel off and look terrible.
The gloss given with the Mac color is difficult to apply, and there isn't much of it. It's too thick and clings to the sides of the tube, making it unavailable to the small and hard brush that's inside.
Having said that, the Mac is excellent. It really does stay on all day long, even after eating or drinking. Mac has the best selection of colors in the industry, IMO. I especially like Perennial Rose, which is not too dark, yet it completely colors my own lip color. It's a shade that works well with all clothing and eye shadow colors. Most of the Mac lip colors are neutrals, and that is just wonderful.
Treat yourself to this fine lip color that really does what it says it will!
This product is especially important for women in my age group. We are still working professionals and still need to look stylish and youthful, but normal lipstick bleeds on us. This product, especially in this bright, clear color, really addresses those issues. The color makes me look alive, and it never moves, bleeds, transfers or anything - all day. This means I can sit beside a man at a meeting, drink coffee and not leave a distracting and embarrassing lipstick mark on the coffee cup. MAC - please make more, not less, of this product - and of these bright clear colors!
