love the softness of this scent

I have loved Quel ques Fleurs by Houbigant and Amarige by Givenchy for years now and wasn't really looking for another fragrance until I hugged a friend I hadn't seen in 15 years who was wearing Hanae Mori. I thought the beautiful fragrance was her personal wonderful "body aroma" until she told me it was actually Hanae Mori. A Nordstrom associate had recommended it once, but I had forgotten about it until smelling my friend. It is now my favorite fragrance, and I don't worry about it being too strong or sweet when I know I'm going to be in a small room or group of people.

I smelled this scent years ago and thought it was pretty, but was addicted to watery florals at that time. I tried this on yesterday on my skin from a tester at the counter, and fell for it. I recognized it from smelling it on others, and finally put two and two together - this is the one! This is my first try at sweeter scents (which is why I gave this only 4 stars), but I liked the blend of floral/fruit/woods and almond. The woods in it bring out a richness that can handle fall/winter. Very soft yet memorable, and not girly sweet (if you know what I mean). I haven't received compliments on it yet as I haven't worn it since my purchase today, but I like that I don't smell a huge fragrance cloud around me.....very discreet, soft and comforting. That is a sign that it won't overpower others at work tomorrow!

This is one of my favorite fragrances-- it's just so feminine and fresh. It's also quite long-lasting.

I gave this to my mom for mother's day and she absolutely loved it. It's extremely unique, and I've noticed that it works with any skin chemistry. Since Hanae Mori is a small company, I know they get to personally select the ingredients they use in their colognes and perfumes. I feel like that selectivity has really helped contribute to the uniqueness and quality of their products. My mom loved her gift, and so did I; I often use it, too. Even though it's a toilette, it lasts as long as a parfum, and I would definitely recommend this to a friend, especially since not many people know about this brand.
