After reading the reviews I ended up buying them in two sizes. I usually wear an 8.5, but my foot is wide in the toe-box area and narrow in the heel. I bought both the 8 and 8.5, and the 8 definitely fits better. They are really comfortable with the exception of my needing to put in an arch support, which is an easy fix. I've only worn them once and I'm very pleased.
I don’t like sneakers that are heavy and have an arch support. I thought that these would look good with leggings, but was hesitant about ordering them because I had never tried them on. As others have said, they run big do I ordered a size down. They are a little big but I tried them out with a heavier sock. They sre everything that I wanted! After trying them in the house a few times, yesterday I wore them all day. Chuck Taylor, I’m a convert. Now I want them in every color!
