After 20+ years on my previous Bobbi Brown foundation brush, with weekly cleaning, it started loosing bristles. These are expensive compared to other brands, however, after reading reviews I bought another Bobbi Brown foundation brush. My other Bobbi Brown brushes hold up great as well with weekly cleaning.
Great foundation brush to use to apply just the right amount of makeup. Using a sponge may soak up and use more of your foundation but the brush allows you to use foundation sparingly and applies smoothly and evenly over face!
I bought my first Bobbi Brown brushes way back in the dark ages of 1993 when I bought my first Bobbi Brown cosmetics at Walnut Creek's Nordstrom. I've been a BB user ever since and along the line I've acquired a lot of BB brushes but this newest one to my collection, the foundation brush, may be among the best ever. I wish I hadn't waited so long. Once I changed from a BB liquid to stick foundation, I found my fingers just weren't doing the job as well and using this brush makes all the difference. It is the same great quality of brush I've come to expect from BB (and I even have a couple of my original ones...yes they DO last that long with good care) and it evens out the stick foundation to look pretty flawless (over a well prepped face with Extra Serum and Extra Face Oil) so even at my 'mature' skin looks darned good. PS - Adding the Simple Human 8" size, illuminated, 5X Make Up mirror, also available at Nordstrom, to the routine helped too as it allows one to see exactly where the brush is going and needs to go.
