I have to agree with the review that these crack easily. We bought them because our little boy loved them and they are practical. But they cracked after light use and quickly developed numerous large cracks. We kept them, as he was very attached, but I would not buy Western Chief rain boots again. We've bought mini Boden "wellie" style rain boots for him and after heavy wear they looked perfectly new when they got too small and we handed them down to a friend! Although, Nordstrom is carrying mini Boden pieces, I have not seen the wellies and even their own catalog does not have them for boys this year. Our girl's HUNTER wellies (purchased at the Anniversary Sale for double points) are fabulous quality, and I may get these for our son as well.

I bought these as a birthday present for my grandson. He'd been wearing his Dad's childhood cowboy boots and chose to wear them out in public one day, to his Mom's dismay. She's not a fan of cowboy boots, so I thought the Firemen's boots would be fun and, also, useful when it rains. His baby sister loves her dress up items, so I also thought it would be a way for him to play dress up. They are adorable. I bought them big, so I didn't worry about size. He loves them.

I purchased these boots for my daughter. She loves these boots, but after having them for a while they've started cracking. In each boot there are huge cracks. I also bought the Hello Kitty rain boots for my older daughter and they are doing the same thing. I figured if I paid a little more for rain boots they would last longer but have not. Very cute boots just crack after a little use.

My four year old grandson loves these rainboots. He has visited a firehouse and the boots are so close to the real thing. I'm going to get the matching raincoat for him. The stripes on the boots glow in the dark and is great for safety purposes.
